Camilla shouldn't be 'punished for life' for falling in love with Charles, says YouTuber

Louise Pentland has revealed she was overjoyed when it was announced Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will be known as Queen Camilla upon Prince Charles’ accession to the throne.

The social media superstar who found fame on YouTube has previously spoken about her love for The Royal Family, as well as working with the Duchess and Prince Charles while working with Bookstart.

Last month, Her Majesty The Queen shared a rare statement in support of her daughter-in-law who since her marriage to Prince Charles insisted she would be styled Princess Consort upon the Queen’s death.

The Queen said: “It is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”

Reacting to this, Louise, 36, exclusively told the Daily Star: “I thought ‘good for her’, I love Princess Diana, I think she was amazing, beautiful, her style and grace were incredible.

“I don’t think that Camilla needs to be punished for the rest of her life for falling in love with someone.”

She added: “They’re a blended family, I come from a blended family, I’m divorced myself, I loved my first husband, I love my fiancé and my children live in a blended family.

“People do fall in love with more than one person in their life, I wasn’t there and I don’t know them personally and I never met Diana.”

Speaking about Camilla, the mum-of-two went on to say: “She’s put her dues in, she’s done her duties, she’s done so much for charity, she is patron of Bookstart and we filmed a video together about the amazing work she does for children and how passionate she is with youth and literacy.

“You could tell that she really meant it and I would be really comfortable for her to be the Queen of this country, she’s stood by Charles, she just loves the man she loves and becoming Queen is part of that, it’s the right move.

“The Queen doesn’t get things wrong very often, so good for her I say.”

Louise also reflected on her home birthing experience with her youngest daughter, Pearl, after a “traumatic experience” with her first daughter.

She explained: “The midwives I had did the absolute best with the resources they had, they [NHS], were stretched so thin and they didn’t have enough staff and time to take full and proper care and all sorts of things went wrong and left me with birth trauma and PTSD which wasn’t diagnosed.

“A week into the pregnancy, I thought ‘Oh my God, this baby is coming out and I’m not ok with that’.

“I told my midwife and she said it sounded as though I was suffering from trauma and at that point, I thought I was going to have a private elective C-Section at The Portland, I educated myself and they’re definitely not the easy route.

“A month later, I discovered the Positive Birth Company and Siobhan Miller and she taught me about labour and suggested a home birth, initially I thought ‘are you out of your mind? Do you think I’m going to push a baby out in my home?!'”

The star added: “The more I thought about it and researched it, I thought that’s an excellent option because there are so many positive stories.

“I don’t live far from the hospital, we had a midwife on hand, gave it a whirl, worked out quite well, had a baby at home then I sat on the sofa having a bagel and thought ‘Wow, I’ve just given birth in the kitchen.'”

But that’s not the only positive story to come out of her homebirth, Louise joked that the water from her birthing pool was poured onto her garden and the grass has “never been greener”.
