Dancing On Ice burst onto our screens in 2006 and has been a firm ITV favourite ever since, but audiences have been less than impressed with the audience’s behaviour in recent years.
A recent episode of Dancing On Ice left home viewers frustrated as they couldn’t hear the song that the contestants were dancing to.
As they made their way around the rink, fans took to Twitter to beg the crew to “stop the screaming audience” and one person even asked them to “mute the audio”.
Another helped out their fellow viewers with a suggestion that they “thought the song was by Take That” but admitted couldn’t be certain over the screaming.

One fan tweeted: “Dancing On Ice needs a bit of a shake up […] Stop the audience being disrespectful and shouting whilst presenters are live, stop with the shouting.”
This isn’t the first time the Dancing On Ice audience has come under fire for their rowdy noise.
During a show last year, fans cried out for the audience to be removed as they used a fake laugh and clapping track behind Phillip and Holly.

The change was brought in effect due to Covid-19 regulations so for the show to go ahead and feel authentic, the producers decided to use sound effects to create the illusion of a studio audience.
Although a lighthearted attempt to bring energy back into the studio, the move was poorly received with home audiences as they struggled to focus on the skaters.

Viewers couldn’t help but notice that the clapping track was playing the entire way through some of the performances which felt very distracting.
One Twitter user called out the blunder and said that “no real audience” would clap throughout a routine, while another said it sounded like “incessant and seal-like”.
Television icon Alison Hammond and Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder had a clash in the Dancing On Ice audience after reuniting with each other since their I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! appearances.

They had previously had a disagreement in the jungle and it seems that the feud continued on the ice rink as a source said that Alison told him: “I never liked you. From the first minute I met you and spoke to you, I never liked you.”
Ryder had previously said that Alison’s outgoing character was too much for him and that he “didn’t want to socialise anymore” as that’s all he had been doing for “eight days”.
