Holly Willoughby will not be appearing on This Morning to kick off the week after contracting Covid-19.
The ITV presenter fell ill over the weekend and has unfortunately had to pull out of her live TV presenting duties, but has been replaced by Josie Gibson.
ITV confirmed to Daily Star that Josie would be replacing Holly on Monday morning’s show after the regular host was left unwell.
Fans have loved Josie’s stints on This Morning historically with many viewers calling for her to make a regular appearance on the ITV show.
She appeared on the show in a host shake-up last month and fans loved the combo of Holly and Josie, though today will be slightly different with Josie and Phil leading up the show instead.
Josie will be stepping in for Monday’s show, though it’s unconfirmed how long Josie will be stepping in to Holly’s shoes for.
The presenter shake-up comes after it was revealed that Holly would be unable to host Dancing on Ice alongside her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield due to the virus.
On Sunday morning, Dancing on Ice confirmed the news that Holly wouldn’t be appearing on the show, leaving her co-star Phil to present it solo, rather than having an ITV stand-in.
Dancing on Ice’s statement read: “Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby is unable to host tonight’s show after testing positive for Covid-19.
“Tonight’s #DancingOnIce Semi-Final will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and we look forward to Holly returning for our Live Final @hollywills @Schofe.”
Last month Phil was forced to isolate after also contracting Covid-19, with his time away from his hosting duties seeing ITV favourites Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson step in for him.
Although fans love to see Phillip and Holly on their screen, they have certainly enjoyed the odd shake-up and have welcomed the extra time some of the ITV presenters have spent on screen.
Holly and Phil famously host the show together Monday to Thursday each week, excluding Fridays where Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary hold down the fort.
Holly hasn’t provided an update on her own profile just yet on her illness, though her pal Phillip Schofield has sent her well-wishes through his Instagram story.
It’s unclear when Holly will return to the ITV sofa.
This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV.
