Chloe Ferry forced to 'bat boys off' pal after dramatic hair transplant makeover

Chloe Ferry may be used to being the centre of attention but that has all changed after her pal had a hair transplant.

The reality star, 26, revealed she’s constantly left trying to deter men from her pal Dean Finlayson who recently underwent a hair transplant after enduring thinning hair for a decade.

Dean, 35, was forced to cover parts of his hairline with nifty hair styling tricks that meant nobody could see his receding hairline.

After years of his insecurities bothering him, the construction quality manager got in touch with award-winning hair transplant clinic Juvida after hearing how they’d helped his Ex On The Beach pal Sean Pratt.

Chloe, who found fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore star was blown away by the results of Dean’s treatment.

She said: “I didn’t really realise his hair change until he showed me the before pictures.

“When I looked at his before pictures and now I can’t believe the difference, not only that but his confidence is massively up now.”

The star went on to say: “You should see him on a night out flipping the hair everywhere, he nearly knocked us out at one point because he’s got that much hair now.

“All the boys are loving him with the hair honestly, I’ve got to bat them all off now.”

Dean, who also runs Geordie Lash, underwent a procedure at their Skipton clinic where individual follicles were taken from the back of his head and inserted into sparse areas of his scalp by hand.

Just 12 months after getting it done in January 2021, Dean is able to mix up his hairstyles and is more confident than ever meeting potential partners on the apps and in real life.

He explained: “Now I have the hairline I dreamed of, it’s definitely made me more confident when it comes to dating.

“I’m on the apps but I like to meet people in real life too, it’s increased my confidence in approaching men on the dating scene.

“On dating apps it’s the pictures you see first so you’re wanting your best pictures on these apps and having a good hairline helps.”

The Geordie went on to say: “I’ve updated all my pictures on dating apps since having my hair done, they’ve gone down quite well with men on there, it’s increased the number of swipe rights – but I’m still single.

“I’ve lost a bit of weight since having it done too so I’m all-around generally feeling a bit more confident.”

Dean said he’d mulled over the decision to get the hair transplant for a number of years but decided to take the plunge and get it done at Juvida Clinic after seeing the results his friend had.

He said: “It was over a two or three-year period that I decided my hair wasn’t looking how I’d like it to – there was receding at the sides.

“No-one mentioned it because I styled my hair so well to cover the thinning sections. I just wanted that edge filled out and a more prominent hairline at the front, I wanted to do a variety of different styles, I always used to be quite conscious about it.

“I kept wanting to get it done, then stopping, I was originally thinking about going to Turkey but then I was a bit concerned about if anything went wrong.”

“I was actually recommended by Sean Pratt who I’ve done a collaboration with before who had it done at Juvida, I was chatting to him about it and his results looked good – that’s when I got in contact with them.”

Dean said: “I was a bit nervous about the pain factor but it was completely pain-free – I actually fell asleep at one point.

“I just wanted my hair filled out at the sides so I could style it better. I was keeping it long at the sides to cover it but now I’m able to do a bit of a quiff.

“The only pain I experienced after was a bit like sunburn. I had a full week off work and was fine by the time I went back to work.

“I didn’t have to shave my head so no-one at work knew, it wasn’t obvious at all.”

Just six months later Dean spotted a massive difference in his hair, explaining: “I saw a massive difference six to eight months after having it done.

“It was really thick, full and exactly how I expected it to look. It definitely gave me a confidence boost.

“A year on it’s going well, the only upkeep is getting it cut. It’s definitely had a positive impact, I feel much more confident in myself.”
