The Apprentice star Amy Anzel 'banned from show final after Lord Sugar tweet complaint'

Amy Anzel was reportedly banned from The Apprentice’s final episode filming after she complained about Lord Sugar’s tweets about her.

The American entrepreneur complained to the BBC after Lord Sugar posted “hurtful and insulting” tweets about her.

Amy, 48, reportedly had to undergo therapy after filming the show for BBC One and was then left “distraught” after Lord Sugar took to Twitter with her in the firing line.. literally.

Lord Alan Sugar penned: “Amy didn’t sell she was so slow. Slower than broadband Wi-Fi in Cornwall,” a tweet that reportedly upset Amy.

Speaking to The Sun, a pal of the flame-haired beauty said that Amy “couldn’t get her head around her firing”.

Amy’s pal explained that she had put herself forward for the project manager role during week two, but this was not aired, and because it got to week six and she still hadn’t taken on the role, Amy “believed it was just an excuse to get rid of her”.

After Lord Sugar posted his “hurtful” remarks, she emailed them and told them what she thought in an email.

The source then revealed to the paper that producers “ignored her phone calls and emails” when she reached out regarding the filming of the final.

Speaking to the paper the source said: “She knew the final taping was happening last Wednesday but they ignored her phone calls and emails again. Then Amy got an email saying that invitations were issued at their discretion.”

Going into the matter even deeper, Amy’s pal opened up a Zoom meeting that Amy had with producers at Naked TV, explaining how she felt “humiliated”.

Amy won’t be the only contestant absent from the final You’re Fired episode – because Harry Mahmood, and Navid Sole won’t be in attendance following a reported row between themselves and Aaron Willis.

Daily Star has contacted the BBC about the alleged banning of Amy Anzel.

The Apprentice final airs Thursday at 9pm on BBC One
