Emmerdale's Marlon and Rhona heartbreak as he struggles after devastating stroke

Marlon Dingle’s health deteriorated rapidly after he suffered a life threatening stroke in Emmerdale last week.

But according to Emmerdale spoilers, it will certainly take a while for things to get back to normal for the friendly pub chef.

Marlon and his partner Rhona Goskirk struggle in the aftermath of Marlon’s stroke and his best pal Paddy Dingle is not coping with Marlon’s predicament.

During the week, the Dingles prepare a video to send to Marlon while he is in hospital but worried he’s being fake, Paddy buckles under the pressure and records an inadequate message.

Meanwhile in hospital, Marlon has a meeting with his speech therapist.

As he agonisingly struggles to form easy words, Rhona is heartbroken to see how upset Marlon is due to his slow progress.

Later on when Rhona accidentally pushes a stubborn Marlon a little too hard, the nurse takes her to one side and gently advises Rhona to put less pressure on him as it is not an easy process.

After recognising Rhona is feeling low, Paddy promises to do better but fails to convince her.

Rhona finds it hard to deal with Marlon’s situation

Once she’s back at the hospital, Rhona apologises to Marlon for pushing him too hard and Marlon accepts her apology. Despite this, he still can’t bring himself to watch the video from his family which is a reminder of everything he’s lost.

Not long after, Marlon decides to ban visitors from seeing him at the hospital and Rhona’s mum Mary begins to worry that her daughter is putting too much pressure on herself.

As the week continues, a lonely Marlon begins to regret his decision to ban visitors from seeing hims as he’s engulfed by a long silence while in his hospital bed.
