Loose Women panelists Janet Street-Porter and Coleen Nolan clashed with each other in a tense exchange live on air.
On Tuesday’s (March 22) episode of the ITV lunchtime chat show, the two stars continued to make catty comments to one another as Janet tried a cold water dunking live on air.
A tense moment saw Janet, 75, turn to her co-stars, Christine Lampard, 43, Kelle Bryan, 47, and Coleen, 57 and asked them whether they wanted her to die live on TV.
Coleen instantly hit back and teased that she wouldn’t mind, highlighting her disliking for the straight talking panelist.
The hostile response was shared during a segment that saw Janet dunk her face in a large bowl of ice-cold water in a nod to the latest TikTok trend, which sees people submerge themselves in freezing cold water.
Panelist Christine suggested that Janet and guest Greg Wise, 55, attempt the ice-cold challenge for as long as possible.
Coleen took aim at Janet and sharply requested: “Can we make it five minutes?”
Brave Janet pointed out that she can’t actually hold her breath for that long, to which Coleen sharply replied with: “I know, that’s the point!”
This led Janet to say: “Do you want me to die live on air?”
Coleen abruptly replied: “A little bit!”
Halfway through the challenge, Janet shouted: “I’m only coming out to get my breath!” to which Coleen said: “No, honestly, you don’t have to!”
The former fashion writer gave it her all during the challenge and even managed to stay in the water longer than actor Greg who came up for air.
A new TikTok trend sees social media users trying out the unusual skincare routine that aims to help improve appearance as well as circulation and overall wellbeing.
Before the segment, another sly remark saw Coleen snub Janet about her upcoming birthday party.
As Coleen mentioned her secret birthday party, Janet commented: “Well you haven’t invited me!”
A sarcastic Coleen replied: “I didn’t organise it, Janet… you would have been first on the list,” followed by “When are we doing the dunking?”
Speaking on Lorraine Kelly’s show the presenter said that the panelists don’t always agree but the disagreements “end at the desk”.
Coleen told Lorraine: “It would be a very boring show if we all agreed on everything.
“That’s what I love about it, but it ends at the desk. It never carries on afterwards, it’s great.”
