EastEnders star Tilly Keeper heads for Netflix stardom as she joins new series of You

EastEnders star Tilly Keeper is reportedly set to join a slew of British soap stars in the upcoming series of the popular Netflix drama You.

The 24-year-old – who rose to fame through the role as Louise Mitchell in the BBC One show from 2016 to 2020 – will star in the fourth series of the psychological drama which is thought to be filmed in the UK according to The Sun.

It is understood that heartthrob Penn Badgley, 35, who plays serial killer Joe Goldberg, will be starring across from several British soap stars.

Also joining the show is Dario Coates, 29, who played Alex Neeson – the son of Kym Marsh’s Michelle Connor on Coronation Street – and Eve Austin, who portrayed Tabitha Taylor-Rudd in Emmerdale.

A TV insider told the news outlet how the beloved psychological thriller will cross the pond after the past three series were filmed in various locations across the US.

They told the publication: “This will come as a huge surprise to the millions of fans of the show around the world. Who got used to the first three seasons being based in various locations in the US.

“The last thing they would have expected was for the next outing to move lock, stock and barrel across the Atlantic and feature a largely British cast.

“But the producers wanted to provide a fresh take on the show, though Joe will no doubt be going back to his dark deeds when he arrives in London.”

Other Brit additions believed to join the new series are thought to include Ed Speleers, who played Jimmy Kent in Downton Abbey and as Stephen Bonnet in the US series Outlander.

Sean Pertwee is also thought to be lined-up to join the show, with the actor previously appearing in Fox’s Batman spin-off show Gotham.

The Daily Star has contacted Netflix and representatives for the British stars for a comment.

It is understood that filming for the fourth series has already started in England with a range of famous London tourist attractions set to appear in the nail-biting scenes.
