Dancing on Ice stars Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne have appeared to insinuate that Brendan Cole may be the most competitive contestant.
As the final episode of this year’s competition airs on ITV this Sunday (March 27), the finalists have given their take on who they think would most like to win.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at a round table conference, the stars were asked who they believe is the most competitive out of the three of them.
And although they appeared rather guarded, both Regan and Kimberly looked at Brendan.
Laughing at their unspoken admission, Brendan joked: “That’s just a reputation!”
“That’s not through anything other than throwing muddles under their feet.”
He continued: “We’re actually all sort of pushing each other which is really nice.
“There’s a real feeling of amazing commandery which was actually a hard again because at the start we were all quite seperated, we weren’t sharing the ice time together so we didn’t have that rapport.
“But over the last few weeks we’ve hung out a little bit more and we have that energy to push each other to do incredible [stuff].
He continued: “We’re creative between the three of us and actually, everybody on the ice has created some amazing performances and it’s made us work harder, push more and try things that perhaps we wouldn’t have tried.
“It’s become quite an amazing thing, especially between the three of us.
Elsewhere in the round table chat, Brendan admitted that he believes os “competitive with himself” despite the narrative “fiercely competitive” narrative that Strictly Come Dancing pushed and complained that he found it fairly tiring.
He said openly: “I came on this show hoping to show people that Strictly showed one side of me and they pushed that side.
“It was very much a narrative that showed over 15 series and it was tiring.
“As you can see I like having a bit of fun and I muck around a lot and that wasn’t shown often but I think it’s been shown here.”
Dancing on Ice Live Final airs Sunday at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
