Holly Willoughby's secret messages to This Morning co-stars exposed by Dr Ranj

This Morning’s Dr Ranj revealed what goes on inside the secret TV Whatsapp group between him and his co-stars.

Speaking at the W Channel Spring Launch, to celebrate the Channel moving onto Freeview (Channel 25) and Freesat (Channel 156) from Monday March 28, Dr Ranj shared his thoughts with the Daily Star.

When asked who his favourite presenting duo on the show is, he replied: “I can’t choose that’s like choosing a favourite child, I love them all we have a WhatsApp group and it’s like a family Whatsapp group where we ask each other for advice.”

But what goes on inside the group chat exactly, Dr Ranj tells us…

He said: “I get fashion advice from Gok, cooking advice, Bryony gives us makeup tips obviously me and Zoe give medical advice on there.

“Holly [Willoughby] actually messages me for advice about her kids, you know, kids have all sort of coughs and colds and its really nice actually that we have this relationship off the show where we can just ask each other a message and there’s never any kind of second thought about it, it’s like a second family.”

When asked the hardest part of working with some comical presenters, he said: “It’s never difficult, it’s always fun…”

However, what goes on behind the scenes? We asked Dr Ranj…

“That’s the thing we don’t spend much time behind the scenes because when you’re an expert you comes in for your segment and you go but I’m sure there’s all sort of fun stuff that we never get to see,” he said.

He also touched upon his recent robbery, when he was out walking to a taxi and he had his watch was swiped from his watch.

Dr Ranj explained: “Someone came up to me and I thought he was asking for help and he went to share my hand and I thought that’s a bit odd and before is know it it was gone and I noticed too late.”

He also revealed that he has been suffering from the consequences of the thug’s actions, and is now a lot more alert and careful when out in public.

The TV doctor explained: “It could have been so much worse and I did the silly thing where I chased after him, you should never do that because sometimes it’s a honey trap.

“I tried to run and I gladly gave up but it has made me more careful and cautious and especially in London I’ve grown to feel quite safe and it’s just a reminder that even in places you find safe you can let your guard down and I spoke to the police officer and they said it often happens in that area.

“It has made me a little more streetwise.”
