Fans of TV titan Piers Morgan will soon see their favourite broadcaster return to their screens as the broadcasting giant announces the launch date for his new show, Uncensored.
Piers, 56, has confirmed that his brand new primetime TV show on new channel TalkTV will be launching next month on April 25th.
The fiery host told his legion of fans on Twitter: “I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the Cancel Culture which has infected societies around the world.
“I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”
The new global show fronted by the former Good Morning Britain presenter, will go to air with the UK launch of TalkTV on linear TV platforms Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat.
Uncensored will also air on Fox Nation in the US and Sky News in Australia.
The show is described as a “fearless forum for lively, intelligent debate and agenda-setting interviews; celebrating free speech and the right for people to share their views”.
Piers has also exacted the ‘ultimate revenge’ on his former bosses at ITV by poaching the six key production staff from the channel to come over to lead his primetime show.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction to the announcement.
“I will be watching. I like this man @piersmorgan he’s a great journalist and excellent show host. I really missed him at Good Morning Great Britain,” said one happy fans.
A second agreed: “We look forward to seeing you back on the screen and look forward to the topics you will be discussing. Take no notice of the negative tweets Piers, we’ll be watching can’t wait.”
Some weren’t so complimentary of the star’s announcement, claiming they will not be watching the new show, dubbing him too “controversial”.
“This guy has no clue about anything. Only issue I agree with him on is transgender issues. He just deliberately says controversial things and has no informed opinion on anything.”
