EastEnders fans are amazed at Albert Square’s resident big mouth Sonia for revealing confidential medical information to Bernie.
Bernie returned to the show, ready to burst as she made her way back 9 months pregnant.
Viewers were over the moon to see that their favourite character had returned and shared the news on Twitter.
The social media platform was flooded with tweets of excitement upon her arrival and many fans said they were “glad to see her again”.
However, the happy atmosphere didn’t last for long as the show soon turned sour after a run-in with Sonia.
Bernie had previously paid a visit to Rainie and Stuart, the planned adoptive parents of her child.
She asked them to give her money as soon as the baby is born to ensure that she can “look after her own family,” to which the couple obliged.
What Bernie didn’t know was that just minutes before, Rainie had been attempting to persuade Stuart to go for his cancer treatment.
The father-to-be had left his medication on the table, which they quickly hid before Bernie made her way up to their flat.
Later on, Bernie was walking near the Queen Vic when Sonia spotted her and called Bernie’s name.
An annoyed mother-to-be expected Sonia to give her a lecture on how to induce her labour, but the nurse “just wanted to say” that it was “good to see her”.
Sonia then asked her whether she had seen Rainie or Stuart, to which Bernie said that she was “impressed with how seriously” Stuart is taking his health.
Sonia said: “Well I know he’s been taking these treatments, but I think he should trust modern medicine when it comes to cancer. There’s so much they can do these days.”
Angry fans then opened fire on Twitter.
One wrote: “That’s Sonia’s nursing career done, just randomly telling Bernie about Stuart’s illnesses.”
Some viewers commented on her lack of “patient confidentiality,” while others were not so kind.
Annoyed fans called her the “worst nurse they’ve ever heard of,” told her to “shut her big f****** mouth” and compared her to the Blackwall Tunnel.
