The A Place In The Sun star took to Instagram to reveal her son had been “through it” and had been taken to hospital for treatment.

She uploaded a post to Instagram on Tuesday morning (March 29), to reveal that the family have been supporting poorly Rocco.

The black and white photo showed Laura, 39, holding her son’s hand, who had an IV line attached to his arm, with teddy bear plasters and a wrist band.

The second image showed the hospital equipment used to administer his medicine.

In the caption, Laura wrote: “The last few days have been interesting to say the least…”

“Being a Mum is the most important job in the world and no matter what Rocco and Tahlia will always come first.”

She went on to say: “This brave little boy has been through it over the last few weeks, and I just want to thank the NHS for helping him get better.”

Friends and followers have flooded the comment section with support, with fellow television presenter Julia Bradbury commenting: “You’re right… Being a Mum is No1. Hope your little man pulls through.”

The presenter also has a daughter, Tahlia, aged six, with broker partner Alex Goward.

The pair, who have been married since 2012, recently separated. The shock split was announced in January of this year, after 13 years of marriage.

Laura revealed the separation on Instagram, with a photo of a framed quote from Dr Seuss which read: “Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.”

In the emotional post, she wrote: “This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.

“Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura.”

The surprise split comes after Laura broke the news that the family had been packing up their belongings ready to move out of their home, situated in the exclusive Webb Estate in Croydon.

She shared a montage of their home on Instagram, showcasing the impressive renovation work the house undertook.

Laura said: “Today we close the door and say goodbye to a home that we have loved and enjoyed for the last nine years – the longest I have lived anywhere in my entire adult life!

“It was a home that we transformed (as you can see in the photos) but MORE importantly it was a home where we created some incredible memories that we will cherish forever…”
