Emmerdale Meena 'killed in jail' as she manipulates prison officer ahead of murder trial

Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) could meet a grisly end before she finds out her fate in dramatic court scenes.

The serial killer has been causing havoc in the village for months.

Fans have been waiting to see Meena face justice after she caused the death of several villagers.

She killed her best friend Nadine Butler before she even arrived in the village back in 2020.

Meena has since murdered Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.

The evil nurse has also attempted to kill her own sister Manpreet Sharma as well as Victoria Sugden, Leyla Harding Vinny Dingle.

She’s set to take to the stand at her trial in upcoming scenes.

However, will someone get to the manipulative murderer before she finds out her fate?

Bookies have Meena to be killed in prison at 3/1.

Alex Apati, of Ladbrokes, said: “Plenty have had the opportunity to kill Meena up to this point and none have taken it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s completely in the clear if the latest odds are anything to go by.”

The Emmerdale villain is determined to walk free from her crimes next week.

Meena puts her best foot forward during her trial to escape justice once again.

As a skilled manipulator, she uses her best tactics and charms a prison officer in upcoming scenes.

The criminal is grateful to see her charm offensive pays off as the officer slips her a chocolate bar as well as a smuggled newspaper.

She’s even more pleased with herself when she realises she has captured the world’s attention and sees herself on the front cover of the newspaper.

With another nasty trick up her sleeve, Meena decides she’ll put on a show-stopping performance in court as she finds out one of her relatives will be a key witness during her trial.

After a lot of mental turmoil, Manpreet (Rebecca Sharma) decides to testify and accepts Ethan Anderson’s (Emile John) help.

Ethan helps the GP brace herself for the defence’s interrogation but Manpreet is still worried as she knows her younger sister will be more than happy to publicly destroy her.

Meanwhile in her prison cell, Meena is all fired-up and savours the thought of facing her sister the following day.

It has been confirmed that Paige Sandhu will be leaving the soap but fans will have to wait how Meena exits the soap.

Teasing her final scenes, the actress said previously: “The ending’s incredible, better than I could ever have imagined and I have already started crying.

“[Meena] is a psychopath and believes nobody will ever get the better of her.

“Psychopaths are incapable of feeling fear like we can.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7.30pm
