Scarlett Moffatt 'getting used to idea of being Christian' after spiritual awakening

Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her relationship with Christianity on Good Morning Britain after the brunette beauty embarked on a spiritual awakening during her first pilgrimage.

During Wednesday’s (April 6) instalment of the popular ITV morning show, Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway welcomed the queen of the jungle onto the show to reveal her new-found relationship with religion.

The former Gogglebox star took part in BBC’s Two series Pilgrimage alongside the likes of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and broadcaster Nick Hewer where the group of celebs explored their different faiths.

Throughout the experience, the 31-year-old reconnected with spirituality and even found herself “defending” her religion in tense religious discussions on the show.

“And I was always brought up to never talk about politics and religion.”

It was at this point that Kate asked what was the particular moment that she felt God’s presence during her life-changing pilgrimage.

“I think when we went to live with some monks and we were all chatting about our beliefs, it got into sort of a debate as religion often does.

“And I was really defending my religion and my beliefs and I think from there – because I’m not a very confrontational person – I knew that because I was defending how I felt that it must mean a lot to us.”
