Simon Cowell savagely snubs co-star David Walliams backstage at Britain's Got Talent

David Walliams suffered a savage snub from head judge Simon Cowell backstage at Britain’s Got Talent.

The hit ITV talent show returned with its highly-anticipated new series on Saturday night (April 16), and the fun-filled first episode showed dancing robots, scooter stunts and a tear-jerker performance from dad Nick Edwards.

The 15th series kicked off with an excitable backstage reunion of judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David, who were all excited to see each other at a new round of auditions.

However, it appeared David didn’t quite get the warm reception he was looking for in Simon.

Amanda and Alesha screamed in joy as they ran over and hugged eachother before comedian David waltzed in and announced: “He’s here!”

He then greeted a smiling Simon and joked that he couldn’t remember the music mogul’s name when he quipped: “Don’t tell me, I know the face.”

Walliams then asked Simon: “Who did you miss the most?”, to which Simon answered: “Alesha.”

David pressed him again, asking: “Then who did you miss the most?”, but unfortunately Simon gestured over to the show’s resident blonde bombshell.

Simon answered: “Amanda,” before David pressed him one more time, saying: “And then who did you miss the most?”

He was in for another snubbing though when Simon revealed: “Ant and Dec.”

The cameras panned to the nation’s favourite Geordie duo, who burst into the room clutching confetti guns and sprayed the room in gold.

Saturday’s episode saw one boy fall off his scooter during a dangerous trick which went horribly wrong.

The group, named Scooter Boys, performed a dangerous routine which involved lots of jumps on towering ramps, but 6-year-old Austin slipped and fell face first into the ramp.

An immediate silence fell on the room as the little one was rushed off stage by the show’s medical experts.

Luckily, Austin was fine and managed to continue with his performance to a huge cheer from the crowd.

The episode also saw Yorkshire dad Nick Edwards pulled onto the stage to perform a song after his two daughters and mother surprised him on stage.
