Britain's Got Talent's 'new Susan Boyle' Tom Ball wows with impressive voice on ITV show

Britain’s Got Talent fans have compared singing teacher Tom Ball to former show finalist Susan Boyle.

The 23-year-old musician performed for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon during Sunday’s (April 17) episode.

He took to the stage wearing a formal grey suit and purple tie before showing off his incredible voice.

Tom belted out a rendition of Sam Smith’s Writing on the Wall and received high praise from the judging panel.

While he celebrated making it through to the next round, avid BGT viewers compared Tom’s audition to another singing superstar.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Tom Ball is the new Susan Boyle.”

Although her vocal talents were unmatched by her fellow competitors on the hit ITV show almost 13 years ago, the Scottish belle lost out to the impressive dance troop Diversity.

But coming second in one of the country’s biggest talent competitions didn’t stop her from thriving, as Susan went on to sell more than 19 million records after she shot to fame.

Another added: “Tom Ball is my winner.”

A third person posted: “Tom Ball was amazing!”

Fans will have to wait and see if Tom can win the 2022 series of the ITV talent show.
