Britain’s Got Talent viewers seemed to have noticed a continuity error during Sunday night’s show after David Walliams appeared in two different places at the same time.
The popular ITV show returned to screens over the weekend and managed to pull in 6.1 million viewers, with a TV audience peak of 7.2 million.
But during Sunday’s episode (April 17), Little Britain star David mounted the stage to dance with Joy, a 75-year-old great-grandmother who was persuaded by her family to showcase her talent on the show.
As Joy strutted her stuff and danced along to Bits and Pieces by Artemesia and Sandstorm by Darude, David couldn’t help but dance along as he unbuttoned his shirt in excitement.

Despite all the commotion, eagle-eyed spectators noticed that David was seen on stage with Joy but he also appeared both in his seat at the same time.
Those who quickly caught the mishap rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “So David Walliams is walking up on stage, yet still sat in his seat watching Joy dancing? Two of him…”
Another shared: “Brilliant editing from the #BGT team, David up on stage and David also sat in his seat, at the same time!”

A third added: “Didn’t know David had a twin #BGT… David in his seat and David on the stage.”
While a fourth chimed: “David got up on stage but at the same time was still sitting @davidwalliams.”
After Joy’s energetic performance that many seemed to enjoy, she received three yeses from the judges but Simon Cowell wasn’t too keen on her dance moves.

Despite this, Simon was certainly blown away by comedian Axel Blake from London who also appeared on Sunday’s show.
Simon even offered Axel a golden buzzer which means he will go straight through to the final shows.
The judge said: “I know it’s a bit of a cliché but, after everything everybody’s been through the last few years, we needed this show back on air, we needed acts like you.
Standing up, Simon said: “I want 25% off and you get this,” before hitting the Golden Buzzer.
