Coronation Street fans are predicting a heated breakup between lovebirds Daisy and boyfriend Daniel after his secret past with former sex worker Nicky was finally revealed.
Eager to distract love rival Nicky’s attention away from Daniel, scheming Daisy suggested the trio meet for a drink to celebrate the first day of Nicky’s new job as a teaching assistant.
Despite insisting to Daniel all she wanted to do was make friends with Nicky and get to know her better, the barmaid was secretly lining up a suitor for Nicky in the form of her ex, Ashley.
However, things soon awkward when Ashley and Nicky clearly recognised each other.
Nicky left after making an excuse and Ashley looked uncomfortable.
Daisy questioned him and he reveals he knew Nicky when she was a sex worker.
Stunned Daisy decided to confront Daniel, who was forced to admit he once turned her down for paid sex – but ultimately slept with her in the past.
He also admitted that he paid her to dress up as his ex-wife when he was in a bad place.
Fans took to Twitter to react. “Well, that revelation certainly rattled Daisy’s cage. Can’t see this relationship lasting, said one viewer.”
Another blasted: “Daisy has turned into a little psychopath and I’m absolutely loving it. #Corrie #CoronationStreet.”
A third argued that Daniel will get sick of Daisy’s jealousy: “anyone else getting REALLY sick and tired of Daisy’s jealousy??? He is and will dump her for it. she dumped Daniel and f***ed another man!”
Nicky and Daniel (Rob Mallard) have grown close again after the she got accepted for a teaching assistant position at the local school,
Fans saw Daisy leave Daniel with an ultimatum, telling him to inform the school about her past and get her fired or their relationship will be over for good.
Nicky will soon be forced to face her past once more when photos and videos from her while in the sex industry spread around the school and the deputy head Mrs. Crawshaw summons her to a meeting.
Nicky confided in her ex that she has been suspended from school and he’s quick to point her finger at Daisy.
Elsewhere in the episode, Billy called Paul and Todd to the cafe and revealed Summer’s eating disorder struggles.
But Todd took it too far when he starts checking up on her – leaving Summer mortified and Todd riddled with guilt.
