Dan Walker has been answering questions from fans on the social media platform Instagram with one answer being particularly quirky.
In the Instagram story, one follower asked if Dan was going for an “image change” for his new job at Channel 5.
The news presenter posted a picture of himself in a bright waistcoat over a shirt and tie and commented: “Yep…Going for novelty waistcoats at @C5News every day”, including a surprised and laughing emoji.
Dan also took the time to answer other questions on his Instagram story including whether he likes red or brown sauce in a bacon sandwich and if he still kept in touch with the Strictly Come Dancing class of 2021.
Dan revealed that he and his fellow Strictly stars have a WhatsApp group called Dan’s Strictly gossip and the group picture is of Judy Love sitting in a car getting photographed by paparazzi.
He also declared he likes red sauce.
Another fan didn’t answer a question but said: “Not a question but you’ve been an integral part of my mornings for years! Keep smashing it!”
To which he answered: “Thank you…I will try my best.”
Dan will be replacing Sian Williams as the news anchor on Channel 5.
Dan recently revealed what he’ll miss the most when he leaves BBC Breakfast later this year.
He has worked at the BBC for six years.
The 45-year-old presenter announced he quit the morning programme earlier this month after working on the show for six years.
Dan took part in a question and answer session with his Instagram followers on Thursday (April 22) and shared his responses on his Instagram story.
One fan asked: “What will you miss most about BBC Breakfast when you leave?”
He replied: That’s an easy one… the people (both on and off-screen)”
Alongside his answer, Dan shared a throwback snap of him posing on the red carpet alongside some of his BBC Breakfast co-stars including fellow presenter Naga Munchetty, Sally Nugent and weather presenter Carol Kirkwood.
