Helen Skelton missing from Countryfile days after husband moves on with new woman

Helen Skelton, 38, was notably absent from this week’s episode of Countryfile – which aired just days after it was revealed that her husband had reportedly moved on with another woman.

The 38-year-old has been a presenter on the BBC show since 2014, but Sunday’s episode (May 1) was led by Adam Henson and Anita Rani.

Last week (April 25), the presenter announced that she had split from her husband of nine years, Richie Myler.

Helen’s separation with the Leeds Rhinos rugby player comes four months after the pair welcomed their third child, Elsie Kate – the couple also share two sons, Ernie, six, and Louis, four.

It has now been claimed that since their marriage broke down, the 31-year-old has already embarked on a new romance with a young businesswoman.

The Sun reported that Richie, 31, has seen her several times recently.

A source said: “Richie appears to have been spending a lot of his free time with this younger, successful businesswoman.

“They are now in the early stages of a relationship.”

The mum-of-three announced the sad news about their split to her 287,000 Instagram followers in a post that read: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.

“He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”

Just days before she announced the end of her marriage, Helen spoke to Daily star and made a sweet home life confession.

The former Blue Peter presenter revealed she breastfed her children while recording voiceovers for her beloved farmyard show, This Week on the Farm, and confessed that her children have been with her every step of the way.

The TV personality confessed that she’s “reluctant” to go back to work after spending so much time with her children during the national lockdown, having enjoyed spending so much time together as a family.

She admitted: “I’ve been able to say no to a lot of things and I’m reluctant to go back but I do the things that fit around the kids.

“I feel quite lucky that I’ve got projects that I can do around the kids that doesn’t eat into my time being a full-time mummy.”
