Tensions have been building in the heart of Beckindale as viewers continue to count down for the highly-anticipated 50th anniversary episode of Emmerdale later this year.
And with the celebratory event just around the corner, ITV studios have been flooded with bookings for fans to step onto the set of the iconic soap for themselves.
But now, eagle-eyed viewers have worked out a way to access the popular telly village tour without breaking the bank.
One nosy viewer has explained how fans can take a snoop around the old production set for free from the comfort of their own home.
Surprisingly enough, fans can get an insight into the Yorkshire village for the first time after the Google team were allowed access to the set in order to capture the series of images for the free online service.
And thanks to James Harding, long-term fans can take a look through Britain’s famous fields for the website which allows users to navigate their way around the iconic town.
The Google Street View vehicle drove through the set while the special equipment fixed to the roof took an array of digital images that were pieced together to create a 360-degree environment.
But some fans of the soap were disappointed to see the virtual tour was of the Harewood Estate rather than the original location at Esholt in West Yorkshire which housed the soap for more than 22 years.
In 1998, the replica village was constructed with some additional features included to aid filming and production of the show on a regular basis.
Reddit user DerekPotterUK wrote: “You can walk around the Emmerdale Set on Google StreetView
“Amazingly they have covered the Emmerdale set on Google StreetView. It’s on Google maps but i have also put a post of it on my blog.”
It comes after Emmerdale fans predicted Belle Dingle will be killed off in an epic 50th anniversary twist later this year.
One of the younger members of the Dingle clan, Belle – played by Eden Taylor-Draper – has been through her fair share of tough storylines during her time on the show, including a prison stint for murdering her pal and the loss of her mum Lisa
She’s survived plenty, too – a kidnapping by Lachlan White, being diagnosed with schizophrenia and falling down a mine shaft aged just seven.
But it could be the end of the road for the iconic character as fans reckon her time in the ITV Dales has almost come to its finale.
