Singer Nick Cave has spoke out to unveil that his son Jethro has sadly died at the age of 31.
The Australian released a statement to confirm the tragic news which comes seven years after the death of his son Arthur.
A statement issued to The Independent, the musician said: “With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away.”
“We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”
The Cave family, have seemingly experienced enough trauma in times of recent, after they lost their 15-year-old son Arthur in a tragic accident.
It was reported at the time, that Arthur and his friend had taken the drug LSD for the first time, moments before he plunged to his death from a cliff in Brighton.
A coroners report in November 2015 concluded that Arthur’s death had been accidental, with Veronica Hamilton Deeley, accepting that the boys had taken LSD, although no trace of the drug had been found in his body.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Jethro Lazenby was jailed after he’d assaulted his mother, Beau Lazenby, in Melbourne.
Back in March, Ms Lazenby had found her son at her front door after midnight and managed to convince the troubled model to stay over for the night.
It was claimed that the mother and so got into a heated argument the next morning after Lazenby had wanted his mum to buy cigarettes for him.
The row became violent and it was alleged that Jethro kneed his mother in the face, causing her bruising and bleeding.
It was understood that Lazenby stormed out of the house after attack as his mum fled to a pub and requested for the police to be called.
Lazenby was arrested soon after and was detained until sentencing which was due to take place in May.
At the time of his arrest, he had also been on bail for a series of violent assaults on his girlfriend in 2018 which also saw him spent time in prison.
The court heard at the time of the case with his girlfriend that Cave’s son had told her: “I’m going to murder you,” which was said three times while holding her down.
