Coronation Street star Sam Aston and his wife Briony have welcomed their baby daughter into the world.
Sam has played Chesney Brown in the ITV soap since 2003.
This is the actor’s second child, with them giving a little sister to their son Sonny.
The couple have not yet revealed their daughter’s name but have shared a sweet snap.
Talking about their pregnancy, his wife Briony recently told OK! Magazine: “We were actually trying not to get pregnant! [Laughs] Just because Sonny was so premature – my concern was having two too close together and having another premature baby. But it just happened!”
She added: “Like with Sonny, I just knew I was pregnant – something was a little bit off and I didn’t feel well. I took a test and obviously it was positive. It was a bit of a shock for Sam!”

Talking about her soap star husband’s response to their pregnancy news, she laughed: “I think his exact words were: ‘Are you having a laugh?'”
Sam quickly jumped in to defend himself and said: “It was said in a joking way! It’s fantastic news. It sounds like I wasn’t pleased but I really was. It’s just that with Sonny it was as planned as it could be, whereas this happened out of the blue.”

The Corrie actor first revealed his wife was pregnant for the second time on Instagram in October.
He shared a sweet snap of their son sitting in a pumpkin patch while holding up a sign that read: “We’re adding another pumpkin to our patch! Due Spring 2022”.
The pair also decided to find out the sex of their baby ahead of their birth.

Talking about how shocked he was to find out he was having a little girl this time around, Sam said: “I could see us having another boy, so it was a really nice surprise.
“I was quite shocked. I don’t know why, because it’s a 50/50 chance!
He continued: “There are twins in Briony’s family, so when we went in I was a bit nervous and said, ‘There’s definitely only one in there, right?’ He said, ‘There’s only one!’ and then told us it was a girl!”
Sam and Briony got married back in 2019, two years after getting engaged.
