Coleen Rooney to be 'offered more opportunities' than Rebekah Vardy, says expert

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy’s careers are expected to take off as their ongoing WAGatha Christie libel battle gradually comes to an end.

The pair have been at loggerheads since October 2019, after Coleen, 36, sensationally claimed Rebekah’s Instagram account had been leaking stories to the media.

Having strenuously denied all allegations, Rebekah, 40, commenced legal proceedings to sue the former television presenter.

Now, their case has been dragged out through the High Courts for all the world to see – but it appears this could have been a good move.

Leading PR expert Rochelle White believes that while their careers may further, their former friendship will not.

Speaking exclusively, she said: “Out of the both of them, I feel Coleen will potentially be offered more opportunities, she has already had success working with well-known brands and doing collaborations and launching products.

“I feel the public know her a bit more and resonate with her.

“Rebekah, I feel has always been trying to find her feet within the space and has been known for causing more controversy, but that has also worked for her.

“Like anything, some brands will want to work and partner with her because of that but also, some could see the potential she has to offer.”

She went on to add: “On top of that, it also depends on who they have on their team in regards to talent managers, management teams, PRs and Agents.

“Sometimes, having the right team around you helps boost opportunities and even rebrands/reposition of yourself and open new doors.

“I believe time will tell, but there will be a place for both – who will come out on top, again only time will tell.”

Rebekah recently denied claims she had sat behind Coleen at a Euro 2016 match in order to boost her profile.

She fumed to the court: “That’s not the case at all,” while Rooney’s lawyers argued that an FA representative would give evidence dismissing Vardy’s denial.

Coleen told the court on Friday (May 13) she had been informed there was a ‘mix ip’ with their seats and hers and Wayne’s representative Paul Stretford had claimed Rebekah was sitting behind her for a picture opportunity.

She told the court: “I thought it was a load of nonsense.”

Two years later at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Coleen asked an FA official how it had gone but was left shocked by the outcome.

Coleen told the court: “I was told it was ok, we missed you a lot but it was hard work with Rebekah Vardy.”

She said that prompted her to ask if Vardy had actually sat behind her for a photo two years earlier and was told it was true.
