Ex-EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt is planning a return to soaps – by washing dishes in his local café.
The actor, 53, who filmed his last scenes in 2020, said he wanted to help out his pal.
Adam added: “My friend Daniel Clifford has previously offered me a bit of time working in his kitchen at Midsummer House restaurant in Cambridge, so I might go and do that for a couple of weeks.
“Knowing Daniel, he will have me doing the washing up!”
Adam, who played Ian Beale alongside Letitia Dean as Sharron Watts in Walford, added: “I met him a few years ago at Pub in the Park and we struck up a friendship because we both like Star Wars.”
Adam recently revealed the secret to his weight loss transformation after shedding three stone.
Speaking to The Mirror, Adam said: “Basically I gave up alcohol. That was the biggest change I made.
“With giving up alcohol, the weight drops off and because the weight dropped it was easier to cycle. So it was easier to stay fit.”
In other EastEnders news, soap legend Pam St Clement has been pictured for the first time in two years.
Pam, 80, starred as the iconic Pat Butcher for 26 years on the soap and has kept an extremely low profile since leaving the show in 2012.
However, fans were over the moon after she made a rare appearance on social media as she celebrated her huge 80th birthday with her former co-star.
On Wednesday (May 11), Pam looked joyful as she marked her birthday with Kellie Shirley who played Carly Wicks on the soap.
In Kellie’s caption, she made reference to Pam’s legendary status on the soap as she is one of EastEnders’ longest-serving characters.
She captioned the post: “Happy birthday to the Queen of #Walford and total legend that is #pamstclement #80. So much love and so glad you’re in our life!”
Fans then flocked to the comment section, with one writing: “Happy Birthday to an East End legend. Love You, Pam.”
Another added: “Happy birthday Pam. A wonderful lady. Xx”
While a third penned: “Working behind a bar in Hastings, Pam was staying at our hotel and could see I was struggling, so jumped behind the bar and started pouring the drinks. Happy birthday Pam! An absolute legend.”
Prior to this, Pam was last publicly seen fighting back the tears in 2020 after she spoke about the loss of her close friend Dame Barbara Windsor.
