Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that her daughter Aimee fell victim to a tragic fire that killed one person and left her injured.
The blaze broke out in a Los Angeles recording studio on Thursday (May 19) and saw 78 firefighters battling for an hour to put the fire out.
The incident occurred at an industrial building close to Hollywood and saw Aimee, 38, and her producer both escape with smoke inhalation, with the deceased victim as yet unnamed.
Sharon took to her social media to update fans and admit that Aimee and her producer were lucky to be alive.
She said: “Today my daughter @aro_officialmusic was working in a recording studio at this building with her producer. They are the lucky two that made it out alive.
“This building was a creative hub for music in Hollywood, a space that should have been regulated for fire code. Producers, musicians, mixers & artists also lost all of their equipment.
“Once again, our prayers go out to the family and friends of the person that lost their lives to this senseless fire.”
Writing on social media, The Osbournes star claimed that both were lucky to be alive.
Sharon’s followers showered her with support with Dancing with the Stars host Carrie Ann Inaba writing: “Glad that Aimee and her producer -are safe… but my heart is hurting for the person who lost their life and their family and loved ones. How scary it must have been for all of them…”
Sharon also shared a post on her Instagram where she thanked a woman whose husband had played a part in saving Aimee’s life.
She wrote: “Thank you. Your husband alerting her literally saved her life.”
Aimee – known professionally as ARO – hasn’t commented on the traumatic incident.
The actress has always been less famous than the rest of her family as she opted out of taking part in their reality TV show The Osbournes which ran from 2002 – 2005 and starred parents Sharon and Ozzy and siblings Kelly, 37, and Jack, 36.
