BGT's Declan Donnelly 'robbed' by guest as act brings 'delinquent' nan

Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly watched from the sidelines as The Handersons gave their performance – but they were more involved than they thought.

Shortly after Amanda Holden had revealed she desperately wanted to see a good puppet act, the group of four – which featured the parents and two children – broke out into a song.

Luckily, their track also brought in a comedic edge as the group brought their nan who was watching from the balcony, and sang about how they were so happy she was back.

In a shocking twist, it was soon revealed that nanna was actually in prison – and that’s why she was away so long… because of her sticky fingers.

And it seems her sticky fingers penalised poor Dec, who fond out his watch had been taken by her through the song, with Mrs Handerson singing: “You even stole Declan’s watch”, prompting a shocked face from the host.

He pulled up his wrist and realised his smart watch was no longer in its original place.

Speaking to Nanna at the end of the performance, Dec said: “Has anybody seen my watch NANNA?”

She innocently responded: “Well, I did find this one on the floor…” – so, Dec was happily reunited with his watch, despite getting off to a rocky start with Nanna.

After the performance, the judges gave their thoughts on the show – and all four of them absolutely loved it, particularly Amanda.

Amanda told the family: “I absolutely loved it and I was really hoping there was going to be some comedy when you first came on you were very sweet and wholesome and I was thinking ooh… I hope there’s a twist.

“Then obviously you brought your delinquent nanna with you. I’ve been saying I would love something like this for a long time.”

The judges weren’t the only ones who loved the performance, with fans taking to Twitter to share their love for the group, with one person writing: “Absolute class! So so funny! Has nanna stopped her stealing?”

The Handersons Twitter page responded: “Hi AJ, I was only borrowing Dec’s watch. Nanna x.”

Another fan wrote: “Love the Handerson puppets. I’d like them to win the whole show!”

A third said: “These puppets are hilarious!”

Luckily for fans, The Handersons got four yeses from the judges – so viewers will likely be seeing them again.
