Ben Shephard admits he's 'stressed' over Netflix star's Tipping Point blunder

Ben Shephard told viewers he was ‘stressed’ after comedian Roisin Conaty suffered epic blunders on Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.

Tipping Point presenter Ben returned to screens on Sunday night (May 22) with a brand new episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, but it wasn’t long before things turned tense in the studio.

The star-studded episode saw Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo join TV presenter Chris Bavin and comedian Roisin Conaty.

Netflix star Roisin, who starred in Ricky Gervais’ record-breaking comedy After Life, got off to a rocky start on the show when she stumbled over her words.

Ben had tried to exercise his usual hosting duties in asking her what she’d like to do next in the first round, but she couldn’t manage to string a sentence together.

However, the TV star also struggled with her drops on the arcade-style Tipping Point machine – which meant she lost out on vital cash to keep her in the game.

One tense moment showed her dropping the counter into the machine at the wrong time, leaving Ben gutted as her counter landed on top of another counter and became useless.

Such counters are otherwise known as a ‘rider’.

Ben had tried to advise her: “Take your time”, but he started cringing as Rosin immediately dropped her counter into the machine.

But later on, she suffered the same mistake and dropped her counter at the wrong time – and it was all too much for poor Ben.

He stepped in again in a desperate bid to help her and said: “Wait, wait, wait,” but Roisin had already made the error and cried out: “Oh no!”

An exasperated Ben confessed: “Oh my days, this is so stressful” before begging the machine: “Please can you get some money for Roisin, please!”

The actress did manage to score points later in the game, but she was knocked out of the game on £800 – which meant it was Jordan against Chris.

Jordan got the better of Chris and went on to rack up over £5000 in the final, which involves the player being faced with the famous jackpot counter.

After a gruelling battle to push the coveted jackpot counter off of the machine, Jordan finally managed to bag it which meant he won £20,000 for his chosen charity.
