Alex Jones let slip a brutal swipe about Hollywood star Tom Cruise on Monday’s episode of The One Show

The 45-year-old TV presenter was joined on the programme by Silent Witness stars David Caves and Emilia Fox.

Speaking about what the upcoming interview with the actor who plays Jack Hodgson on the drama, Alex seemed to put her foot in it.

She said: “We’ll be talking all about Silent Witness with Amelia and David later on including why David had a bit of a Tom Cruise moment on set.

“He didn’t loose his temper everybody, that wasn’t it.”

During the December, when coronavirus was causing havoc across the UK, Tom seemed to loose his cool on set as two members of crew seemed to break the one metre distance rule.

A video of the Hollywood star went viral showing Tom it an expletive-laden audio, shouting: “If I see you doing it again, you’re gone.”

According to The Sun who published the story at the time, Tom had unleashed his fury at the two members of team after they had been “standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen.”

In the full clip, Tom rages: “They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. We are creating thousands of jobs.

“That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their… homes because our industry is shut down.

“We are not shutting this… movie down. Is it understood? If I see it again, you’re… gone.”

Meanwhile, Tom was recently slammed after he’d made an appearance on Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and fans were not happy with his interview.

The Mission Impossible creator was interviewed by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham at the celebration which took place at Windsor Castle.

Viewers slammed hosts and Tom for speaking about the actors upcoming new film during thePlatinum Jubilee Celebration programme.

One person penned: “Given up on the dire @ITV coverage of #PlatinumJubilee – after an hour seen more of Tom Cruise plugging his film than show & far too much of Phil & Julie. Utter waste of programming time!.”

Another fumed: “Time to turn over to #AntiquesRoadshow as #ITV have spent 45 minutes waffling on and allowing #TomCruise to plug his new film and not the platinum celebration of The Queen’s reign that was advertised.”

The One Show airs on BBC One – weekdays from 7pm.
