Fans of Britain’s Got Talent appeared rather annoyed during Saturday night’s programme, as they complained that there were far too many children acts on the popular ITV show.
During the latest episode, some viewers felt a kids’ spin-off version should be introduced as many spectators had had enough of the amount of young acts who took to the stage.
Including the Teletubbies, BGT fans saw the kids version of Attraction appear on the show as well as 15-year-old singer Alfie- who sang a playful tune about drinking beer.
With all the variety of young talent on the programme, BGT viewers headed straight to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One person penned: “They need a #bgt kids spinoff instead of having 50 million kid acts on the main show I’ve had enough.”
Another fumed: “Should have renamed it Kids Got Talent for tonight’s episode.”
A third asked: Is this Britain’s Got Talent or kids have got talent now?
A fourth added: “And now folks….the f*****g Telly bloody Tubbies. This is Saturday night prime time TV. So far its like watching a kids programme.”
Meanwhile, some seemed to think that children on the show would receive an automatic pass to the next round because they are young.
Throughout the show’s series, there have been a number of child acts that have impressed the judges, but some viewers seem to think that it may slightly unfair.
Heading to Twitter again, some fans commented on this aspect too.
One person said: “Welcome back to kids #BGT. The judges will vote you through every time.”
Another echoed: “Waste of time watching kids audition on #BGT. They always get a free pass. Sentimental claptrap.”
“They can’t say no to all these kids acts and and choirs can they? Saturday night TV that makes you want to boil your head,” a third added.
Despite the uproar, many viewers couldn’t deny that the children who did make centre stage put on a spectacular show.
Young karate act Team Unite showcased their incredible talent on the show and viewers were left stunned.
Complimenting the group, one person jumped on Twitter and wrote: “I would definitely give the Karate Kids the Golden Buzzer.”
