The Chase viewers were left doing a double-take at a TV star lookalike contestant during the latest episode of the ITV gameshow.
As four new contestants took on Jenny Ryan, aka The Vixen, viewers were distracted by 26-year-old hopeful Sofia, after fans spotted an uncanny resemblance to Emmerdale’s Sarah Sugden, played by Katie Hill.
Immediately, viewers at home took to social media to compare the Clinical Scientist from Liverpool to her soap doppelganger.
One wrote on Twitter: ” She looks like Sarah from Emmerdale #TheChase.”
To which one fan replied: “omg yeah she does!”
A third added: “does she look like Sarah or Debbie from Emmerdale cos you can’t all be right #TheChase.”

A fourth viewer said: “She does look like Sarah.”
Sofia and her fellow contestants racked up £20k for their prize pot but were beaten to the punch by chaser Jenny with 13 seconds remaining, despite answering 20 questions correctly.
Elsewhere on the episode viewers were also swooning over contestant Toby, who sent fans wild when he whipped out a pair of nerdy glasses half way through his round.
“Toby is hot,” swooned one viewer.
A second added: “Me now Toby has put his specs on,” followed by a gif of a women biting her lip.
The show has featured many lookalike contestants over the years.
Viewers recently compared contestant Gordon to the actor who played Argus Filch in Harry Potter, with one viewer tweeting: “Tonight the role of Gordon will be played by renowned actor David Bradley.”

Another episode saw viewers distracted by contestant Makyla’s appearance and how she looked like a famous TV star.
With her animal print blouse and short perfectly styled hair, many felt the 50-year-old resembled Anne Diamond.
One contestant who appeared in 2021 was even dubbed the spitting image of chaser Jenny Ryan.
Viewers dubbed contestant Ellis and chaser Jenny the battle of the barnets aa the two shares the same beehive hairstyle.

Fans were gobsmacked about the similarity of the two rivals as they went head to head on the ITV game show.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “@thechase hope Jenny’s the chaser…..we could have a beehive off with seat 2.”
A second added: “Jenny to be the Chaser for a battle of the Barnetts? #TheChase.”
Another added: “Ellis has a bigger beehive than The Vixen #TheChase.”
