Meghan Markle has been praised by Atomic Kitten singers Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon who have nothing but love for Prince Harry’s wife.
It comes after Meghan came under fire, with some claiming her trip to Texas to appear at a memorial for the Uvalde school shooting was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Meghan, 40, placed a bouquet of white roses at the memorial outside of Robb Primary School where 21 people including 19 children were gunned down.
But the Whole Again singers who recently attended Iceland’s Big Jubilee Lunch spoke exclusively to Daily Star about their feelings for the former actress.
Liz, 41, said: “I just think it’s absolute bulls**t, the sh*t she gets, she’s absolutely awesome, anyone who doesn’t like her just needs to pipe down.”
Reflecting on her appearance at the memorial, Liz added: “She’s probably done that as a mother, to show support, that’s what she’s about.
“She’s gorge, I love her, I just love her.”
Discussing who their favourite member of The Royal Family is, Natasha added: “It’s got to be Diana, Princess of Wales.
“She was making the trends back in the day, she was this princess with class, flair and style, I’ve been to the V&A and they had all these famous dresses and some of her stuff there.
“She was such an icon.”
Reflecting on the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Liz said: “It’s lovely and it’s fabulous for the Queen that she’s got her Platinum Jubilee and everybody is really grateful for the bank holiday as well.”
But while neither of the pair have met Meghan, they’ve had several run-ins with the rest of the Royal Family.
“We’ve met all of them, the Queen, last time we met her was at the Golden Jubilee and she commented to me that the weather was nice,” explained Liz.
The Right Now songstress laughed: “I said ‘It is, thank you very much, thanks for speaking to me, love you bye’, that’s pretty much what I said.
“We’ve met Harry and William, we’ve met Charles, Camilla.”
Natasha added: “We sang for Charles in the royal box in Hyde Park.”
“I’m gutted I’ve never met Meghan or Kate, I’d love to meet Meghan,” said Liz.
Today, the Queen will join Prince Charles, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge and other senior working royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
It was announced by the palace that after “careful consideration” royals including Harry, his wife Meghan, Prince Andrew and his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie would not make an appearance on the balcony.
