Amanda Holden has vowed to continue wearing eye-popping dresses in her 50s and has hit back at critics of her figure-hugging clothes.
The Britain’s Got Talent beauty stuck two fingers up to prudes and snapped back: “They’ve got too much time to think – that’s my opinion on that.”
Amanda, 51, bragged that she loves showing off her figure and has no plans to stop.
She explained: “While I’ve still got the figure, I do love a bodycon dress or a good well-made pair of jeans with a T-shirt, a blazer and a nice heel.
“I still enjoy wearing clothes that show off my figure. I dress for myself and wear what makes me feel good.”
She added: “It’s funny because I don’t think when I was in the public eye in the 90s, anyone looked towards me as any kind of fashion person – but I think it’s assumed they do now and I’m in my 50s.
“I find it quite weird that people didn’t start asking me where I got clothes from until my 40s or 50s – which I’m really enjoying!
“I’m not a fashion victim and there are loads of things I can’t stand, like mullets. There are things that I said goodbye to in the 80s that I hope never come back.
“I know what suits me – but I’m not afraid to get a leg out, as people know.”
Amanda also told Woman magazine the secret to her staying in such great shape.
She revealed: “I did gymnastics for years, and I think I’m still lucky enough to have a body that gets back into shape quite fast.
“Or I just breathe in when I stand up to go to the toilet.”
But she admitted that sometimes she is on her best behaviour – if she is out for the night with her music producer husband Chris Hughes.
She added: “If we’re with friends, I know he’s thinking, ‘At what point am I going to have to throw her over my shoulder and carry her out?’
“I’m mindful of that, and I’m probably better behaved.”
