Britney Spears' life with Sam Asghari as they get married in intimate ceremony

Music icon Britney Spears and her fiancee Sam Asghari have tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Thursday (June 9).

After announcing their engagement in December 2021, Britney has been sharing snaps of her wedding preparations – as well as sparking rumours that the special day was near in a recent video.

But how much do you know about Britney and Sam’s life together, as they finally get hitched?

From their first meeting to their lavish lifestyle together, to luxury holidays and sprawling million pound California home, Daily Star takes a closer look inside the couple’s life after their big day.

On-set romance and engagement

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari had a sweet on-set romance, after they met while filming the music video for her 2016 single Slumber Party.

Fitness instructor Sam had appeared in music videos for groups including Fifth Harmony, as well as modelling, before swapping numbers with Britney Spears after his Slumber Party cameo.

After the sweet exchange, the couple became Instagram official in January 2017 and have since been dating for more than six years.

In December 2021, the same month that Britney’s conservatorship came to an end, the singer and hubby Sam also announced that they were engaged.

The happy couple announced the news in a sweet Instagram video, which showed the singer showing off a huge diamond ring alongside her future husband.

In the video Sam asks Britney: “Do you like it?” to which she enthusiastically responds: “Yes!”

She captioned the video: “I can’t f***ing believe it!!!!!!”

Sam regularly gushes about the singer on his Instagram posts, with the star paying a sweet tribute to Britney on May 8 for Mother’s Day, saying that the couple live a “real life fairytale”.

He also added that the singer is his “soon to be queen” – in a romantic nod to their nuptials.

‘Fairytale lifestyle’

Britney and Sam have certainly been living the “fairytale lifestyle” that Sam described in his social media posts, with the couple sharing a £5.7m home in Los Angeles, California.

The Thousand Oaks residence has been Britney’s home since 2015, and was designed to emulate an Italian-style villa complete with 13,300 square feet of space, five bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms and 20 sprawling acres of private land.

However in February 2022, Britney shared a video from her current home – hinting a move may be on the cards.

She said: “So this is the view from my room… it’s pretty spectacular! I’ve lived in this house for seven years and I’m in the process of buying a new home… it’s time for a change!”

When they are not at home, the couple have regularly shared snaps from their lavish getaways to locations including Cabo, Cancun, Las Vegas and Hawaii too.

Miscarriage heartbreak

Four months after their engagement news, Britney and Sam also announced that they were expecting their first child together.

They made the announcement on April 11, 2022, with Britney excited to welcome a new addition to their family alongside Sam and her two children she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline – Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15.

However one month later in May 2022, Britney and Sam announced that they had lost their “miracle baby” early on in pregnancy, saying in a joint Instagram post: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.

“This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however, we were overly excited to share the good news.

“Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”

The couple have since thanked fans for their support, with Sam issuing a statement to fans saying: “We have felt your support. We are taking things positively and moving forward with our future.”

Wedding plans

News website TMZ have reported that Britney Spears and Sam Asghari were set to marry on Thursday (June 9).

Although Sam Asghari had previously announced on his Instagram page that fans would not know the wedding date “until the day after”, the cat was finally out of the bag about their special day.

They said “I do” in front of a very small and exclusive guest list which did not include Britney’s mum Lynne Spears, dad Jamie Spears or sister Jamie Lynn Spears.

However, her brother Bryan was said to be the only exception to the star’s “no family” rule at the ceremony.

The news follows weeks of rumours that the couple were going to tie the knot, after Britney shared photos of her meeting fashion designer Donatella Versace, who had been commissioned to make the singer’s wedding gown.

Britney also shared a video on her Instagram page of her drinking champagne in a Rolls Royce next to Sam, with fans noticing a huge wedding hint in the process.

Eagle eyed fans spotted that Britney had a beautiful manicure in the video too – complete with bridal themed white and silver sparkles.

Speaking in a British accent, the star told fans in the video: “I feel very sophisticated with all the jewels on my hand.

“Toodle-oo my friends. Cheers,” before blowing a kiss to the camera.
