Tipping Point fans are known for not suffering fools gladly and taking to Twitter seconds after any gaffs to mock the contestants.
And today’s episode was no exception as viewers flocked to social media after a contestant failed to correctly answer a question.
Around halfway through the hit ITV quiz show, which has an army of loyal online fans, one of the questions was: “The line of latitude known as the 38th parallel loosely serves to divide which Asian peninsula into two countries?”
Quite a hard one, to be fair – but Tipping Point viewers are generally clever clogs.
Sam answered Japan while Jane said Vietnam.
They were both wrong with the correct answer being, the Korean Penisula, dividing North and South Korea.
One fan quickly posted: “Sam thinks Japan is 2 countries”
Another added: “She thinks Japan is just Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the two “countries” atom-bombed in 1945.”
There was also a lot of shugging and eye-rolling emojis at her answer.
In other Tipping Point news, fans were recently distracted by a “David Brent and Danny Dyer lovechild”.
Friday’s show (June 10) saw host Ben Shepard welcome a player named Dan to the show, with viewers quickly picking up on the fact that his mannerisms resembled two famous figures.
While some fans were adamant Dan looked and acted like EastEnders star Danny Dyer, others were convinced he was more reminiscent of Ricky Gervais’ The Office alter-ego David Brent.
One fan wrote: “Dan thinks he is Danny Dyer,” while another commented: “Dan is auditioning for EastEnders.”
A third joked: “Bet Dan/Danny is all like ‘Oioi saveloy” on a night out… [sic]”
Another amused viewer quipped: “Dan on is David Brent.”
While Tipping Point fans were amused by Dan’s antics, the player quickly progressed through the competition.
He saw off the rest of his fellow contestants to advance through to the final round for the chance to win a £10k cash prize
