Love Island fans have discovered that bombshell Remi Lambert has a dancing and rapper past and has made songs which contain derogatory comments about women.
The 22-year-old star from Manchester set Twitter alight when viewers discovered he would be entering the villa of love on Tuesday’s episode (June 14) alongside bombshell Jay Younger, 28.
However, after a little digging, fans discovered videos of Remi’s dancing history as well as songs that he wrote which include lyrics that some may find offensive.
The Love Island bombshell, who goes by the rap name Remi Lambo, makes references to damaging female genitalia during sexual intercourse in a track called Superhero.
In the song, he said: “Don’t care if you’re peng, you’ll still get left on pending and saved for later.
“Broke her pum pum it needs a cast.”
In another song called Mr Grey, the musician compares himself to the lead character Christian Grey from the popular book and film adaptation of 50 shades of Grey.
Remi chimed: “Unless we’re talking Fifty Shades, I don’t do strings attached.
“Blow her back out, climax, then blackout.”
Remi posted the song in 2020 and amassed 62,000 YouTube views.
Daily Mail report that a close friend to Remi defended his actions and said: “I don’t necessarily agree with how women are described in rap music in general.
“Remi does not condone violence against women. There’s no malicious intent here at all. He would be upset at the suggestion, and we hope people see the real him on Love Island.”
But rapping wasn’t the only thing he had hiding up his sleeve as fans also discovered videos of him dancing outside a shopping centre.
In one video which quickly circulated online, Remi could be seen wearing a purple hoodie and jogging bottoms along with a pair of brown boots while he danced along to the song Slide Around by Chance The Rapper-ft. Lil Durk and Nicki Minaj.
However in Remi’s pre Love Island interviews, he doesn’t seem to mention his rap and dance career.
When asked why he wanted to join the show, he said: “When I saw Molly [Mae Hague] and Tommy [Fury] and saw how strong they are together, I thought ‘I want a love like that’.”
Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 9pm
