Sir Paul McCartney to 'virtually reunite' with John Lennon for duet at Glastonbury

Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly set to ‘virtually reunite’ with John Lennon at Glastonbury next week.

The musician, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, will headline the music festival on Sunday, June 26, 2022 and perform a highly anticipated set, which is reported to include a virtual duet with John Lennon.

Paul’s late Beatles bandmate and fellow music icon John Lennon was tragically killed at the age of 40 years old, after he was shot in New York On December 8, 1980.

Paul McCartney’s recent US tour has included a virtual duet with John, and a source close to Paul told Daily Mail that the singer is planning to include the duet as part of his Glastonbury set, saying: “He is tinkering around with the setlist but it looks like he will do a virtual duet with John Lennon.

“There is some footage of Lennon singing I’ve Got a Feeling, from Let It Be, which Paul puts up on the big screen, and then he turns around and sings to him.

“John’s vocal has been isolated in the footage and it is stunning.”

The source added: “He has been doing that on recent dates in America and it is likely that he will bring that to Glastonbury.”
