Lauren Laverne has kicked off the BBC’s radio coverage of Glastonbury Festival.
The BBC Radio 6 DJ has been reporting live from Worthy Farm since Wednesday and will continue her coverage over the weekend as performers begin to take to the stages.
She’ll be giving viewers all the highlights from the festival and is catching up with this year’s acts, which include headliners Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar.
Tomorrow (June 25) she is live on BBC 6 from the festival grounds and will be joined by guests including Fatboy Slim and Metronomy.
Lauren is known for her work as a BBC radio DJ. She has been presenting the popular BBC Radio 4 show Desert Island Discs since 2018 and also currently presents The One Show alongside Jermaine Jenas.
But her music career started long before her radio one, when at 16 she became the lead singer of Britpop band Kenickie.
In her romantic life, Lauren has had similar success to her long-running career, with a nearly 20-year relationship with her husband.
Here’s what we know about the radio presenter’s love life and dating history.
Who is Lauren Laverne married to?
Lauren Laverne is married to DJ and television producer Graeme Fisher.
Lauren and Graeme married in 2005 and live together in London.
In 2007 they welcomed their first child, Fergus James Fisher, and in 2010 they had their second son, Mach Fisher.
In an interview with the Guardian, Lauren revealed that her husband had left his TV producing job to become the primary carer of their children.
She said: “My husband has gone from the job he was doing making TV programmes to being the main carer for our boys.
“He has a fantastic relationship with them, we both muck in, and to be honest, it’s all a bit of a scramble.”
She also spoke to Red Magazine about how there’s no secret to her 20-year-relationship, she said: “I think we’re really lucky and I’m really glad we’re happy and we still get on well.
“Nut I’m not going to sit here and spout kernels of wisdom, because there might be people reading this going through a divorce thinking, ‘Lauren, shut up.’
“We’ve been together a long time and we get on great, but that’s not necessarily the goal for everyone.”
Who else has Lauren Laverne dated?
Lauren’s been with her husband for 20 years and has kept quiet about who she dated before him, but she was reported to have had a few relationships before settling down with Graeme.
While she was in the band Kenickie she briefly dated music journalist Taylor Parks, who wrote for the weekly music magazine Melody Maker from 1993 to 1998.
Following her split from Parks, Lauren went on to date Malcolm Middleton, who was the guitarist of the band Arab Strap.
