Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has celebrated landing the lead role in a very different project than the ITV cobbles.
Jude is best known for playing chess-obsessed youngster Sam Blakeman on the cobbles, along with his role in Sky show Brassic alongside Michelle Keegan.
But in a very different acting role, he landed the lead role of Robin Hood in his Year 6 school play.

Sharing a snap of him in the green get-up to Instagram, Jude posed with a prop bow and arrow and feathered hat as he wrote: “Robin Hood signing out!
“Last ever primary school production done! Few weeks left and I’m high school ready.”
He added the sweet hashtags #MumGotATissueOut and #ClassOf2022.
Fans quickly clamoured to congratulate Jude on his role, with one writing: “Wow, good on you, you’ll do just fine there I’m sure!”
“You’re an amazing actor Jude, you’ve got a great career ahead if you decide to go that way in life,” someone else told him.
As a third chimed in: “I hope we get to see a lot more of you on Corrie before you start senior school! All the best young man, you really are a fantastic actor with a great future in front of you.”
“Have fun Jude – bet you smashed it!” another posted.
It comes after Jude announced his first ever project with his director dad, filming a short flick with father Paul Riordan.
The young Corrie actor looked proud as punch as he posed for a snap alongside Paul and former Casualty actor Michael Stevenson.
He told his followers: “And that’s a wrap on my first short film Something Missing.

“I can’t wait to see this finished film! Four long days to get it all in.
“Had the best time with the best team! First project with my Dad @paulrio27 and first project with @michaeltstevenson.
“Would I do another? Yes.”
He went on to explain: “This is a story very close to our hearts.
“A young carer Sean looking after his Mum Suzanne with early onset Dementia a story that is life for many young carers and needs to be told.”
He then went on to say: “Proud to be ambassador for St Helens Young Carers @sth.yc and hopefully we will raise awareness of how important their roles are and how important it is to get the care and support. I can’t wait for you all to see it.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
