Cheryl celebrated her 39th birthday this week and has branded it the ‘best birthday yet’ after Girls Aloud co-stars wished the brunette beauty well.
Sharing a post on Instagram, the much-loved former X Factor judge thanked her fans, friends and followers for their heartfelt birthday messages and sweet words after her birthday on June 30.
Posting a snap of herself devouring cake and strawberries with a hot cup of tea, Cheryl was enjoying a yummy birthday treat and pouting up a storm while looking glamorous.
The Geordie lass looked chic in an off-duty look that comprised of a lemon sweatshirt over the top of a white turtleneck top.
She wrote a caption for her loyal legion of fans and whopping 3.5 million Instagram followers to read, which said: “Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday wishes. I think I’ve had the best one yet.
“I have never been more in gratitude or contentment ! (Or ate so much cake ) sending so much love,” she concluded.
Hundreds of comments were beneath the snap, with one from her Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts.
Leaving a sweet comment that comprised of an array of love heart eye emojis, fans were overjoyed to see the pair communicating online.
She also took to her own Instagram stories to wish Cheryl a happy birthday by sharing a snap of the pair performing on stage together, penning alongside it: “Happy birthday bestie.”
Nicola wasn’t the only Girls Aloud member that wished Cheryl well, because Kimberley Walsh did too.
She shared a photo of Cheryl holding Kimberley’s new born son last year, penning a sweet message which read: “One year ago today… Happy Birthday Chezzabelle we love you so much.”
The sweet messages from band members come as they gear up for a reunion.

Girls Aloud will be reuniting to run 5K for charity, in memory of Sarah Harding, who tragically died of breast cancer last year in September.
Cheryl’s rare Instagram update comes after she decided to take a step back from the limelight after giving birth to son Bear in 2017, whom she shares with One Direction heartthrob Liam Payne.
The last time Cheryl took to Instagram was more than one month ago when she shared a short clip of herself working as an ambassador for a health brand.
