BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty has shared her heartbreak over the sad death of her beloved cat.
Taking to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to Missy, Naga uploaded a sweet set of snaps, and penned an emotional caption to update her fans on the sad news.
Clearly emotional and in a great deal of pain, she bravely wrote: “Said goodbye to our darling, sweet girl Missy yesterday.
“She may have been small, but she was immense in stature.
“The sweetest cat I’ve ever loved.
“She’s left a massive hole in our hearts and home.”
The caption was underneath three gorgeous photos of Naga’s cat Missy, who is now over the rainbow bridge.
Missy was a gorgeous fluffy white cat with ginger and black markings, a black nose and fluffy white paws.
Fans of the BBC Breakfast presenter were quick to flock to the comments section to lend their support and send their love.
“So sorry to hear that Naga. What a beauty she was. Much love x,” penned one emotional fan.
Another added: “So sorry to hear this. It is the saddest time.”
While a third commented: “Am so sorry for loss I know how it feels .. even still after 5 years I still miss my furry friend.”
And a fourth said: “I’m so terribly sorry for you loss. Their only flaw is that they don’t live long enough. Thinking of you.”
Naga often shared snaps of Missy on her Instagram page, with the last being uploaded seven weeks ago back in May.
Posting a snap after having been on a run, Naga took a selfie while Missy sat in the background.
She penned: “‘I don’t care if you’ve been for a run, or that you are sweaty. Just Feed Me Now’ (Missy) #priorities X.”
Clearly loved and adored, Naga’s posts show just how much she loves cats and loved Missy.
Naga also shares Xena and Bella – a black cat and a grey tabby – with her husband James Haggar, whom she wed in 2004.
