Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield proudly showcased her “belly overhang” in an empowering underwear snap as she gave fans an insight into her cheeky new tattoo.
The TV star, 29, – who played the role of Lucy Beale from 2004 to 2010 – sent her loyal legion of fans wild as she took to her Instagram account where she posed up a storm in a black lacy underwear set.
She was seen beaming with pride as she stripped down to the matching set in her bedroom as she showed off her curvaceous figure by the floor-length mirror.

And it appears as though the mum-of-one opted for a light wash of makeup for the impromptu photoshoot including lashings of black mascara and a hint of blush on the apples of her cheeks.

In the second shot, the actress – who shares her son with husband Robert Brendan – could be seen pulling the waistband of her knickers down to reveal her small script tattoo just above her groin.
Alongside the powerful images, she shared a lengthy caption as she reminded her 38.7k followers to embrace their body no matter what shape and size they are.
She penned: “Swipe for a surprise. A reminder that belly overhand affects LOADS of us, pregnancy related or not.
“It affects people of all shapes and sizes, sometimes it’s fat, sometimes it’s skin, sometimes it’s as a result of a scar, sometimes it’s temporary, ALWAYS it’s beautiful.”

The starlet went on: “It doesn’t have to be something you’re ashamed of, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re unhealthy, and you’re most certainly not alone [love heart emoji].
“Hands up who’s got a lil belly overhang? Ps – this new @curvykate Lace Daze set is SO comfy, and available in black or a beaut mango colour. PR.”
Fans soon flooded to her comments section to share their compliments on her latest lingerie set, with many sharing their struggles with body acceptance.

It comes after the body positivity campaigner hit out at trolls who cruelly branded her body “disgusting” online.
Melissa responded to the vile messages with a short video sharing some of the cruel comments the keyboard warriors sent to her.
In an effort to show them how little she cared about their opinions, the blonde bombshell stripped down to a set of animal print underwear while Gangster’s Paradise played in the background.

While she posed up a storm and threw numerous flirty glances as she giggled to the camera, a slew of the hateful comments flashed up on the screen.
The star then covered the screen with her hand and in the next frame was seen dancing around in her lingerie while her response appeared on screen.
It read: “I don’t care what you think of me. And that gives me power.”
