It has been over 46 years since the first Rear Of The Year award was announced – but did you know how many Coronation Street stars have taken the title?

After Maxine Peacock star Tracy Shaw first won Rear Of The Year in 1996, the doors opened for a wave of cobbles stars to win the award in the decades since.

The Coronation Street cast have also narrowly beaten one another to the post, with Kym Marsh and Michelle Keegan in close competition with one another in recent years.

From Tracy Shaw to Michelle Keegan, Daily Star looks back on the Coronation Street stars who won Rear Of The Year.

Tracy Shaw (1996)

One year after actress Tracy Shaw made her cobbles debut as Maxine Peacock in Coronation Street, the star won Rear Of The Year in 1996 – alongside fellow winner and Gladiators star Hunter.

The blonde bombshell posed for photographs in a sexy blue dress with thigh high split, as she flashed her signature smile for the cameras – framed by her stunning blonde curls.

She also became a regular model for “lads mags” during her time on Coronation Street, before departing the soap after her character was brutally killed by Richard Hillman in 2003.

Coronation Street icon Jane Danson has delighted fans as Leanne Battersby since 1997, before leaving the soap three years later and making a surprise return in 2004.

Following in the footsteps of former co-star Tracy Shaw, Jane Danson also won Rear Of The Year in 2000 – with the star showing off her peachy bum in a pair of light blue jeans.

She accepted the award at London’s Hyatt Carlton Hotel, where BBC presenter Graham Norton won the same award alongside her.

Shobna Gulati (2012)

The Rear Of The Year awards kept on coming for Coronation Street, when in 2012, Sunita Alahan star Shobna Gulati won.

She joined John Barrowman as one of the winners of the award, paying a cheeky tribute to her mother, who she thanked for her prize-winning behind.

Shobna said: “I am really honoured and flattered to be a winner of this year’s competition and for my bum to be etched into the history of the award’s alumni – a list which includes so many other distinguished bottoms.”

Kym Marsh (2015)

Former pop singer and Rovers Return barmaid Kym Marsh continued Coronation Street’s run of success, after she won Rear Of The Year in 2015.

The Michelle Connor actress beat former Corrie co-star Michelle Keegan to the title, accepting the award alongside fellow winner and Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.

She also beat Carole Vordeman and Amanda Holden to claim the prize, telling Manchester Evening News: “I’d like to thank everyone from the heart of my bottom for voting for me.

“It’s totally unexpected but greatly appreciated. I’m very flattered to receive this award; it looks like all those extra gym sessions have paid off.”

Michelle Keegan (2018)

While Michelle Keegan may have been narrowly pipped to the post by her Corrie co-star Kym Marsh in 2015, the Tina McIntyre actress took the title in 2018.

Michelle was named Rear Of The Year alongside fellow winner and Poldark hunk Aidan Turner, with the star’s husband Mark Wright praising her saying she was a “worthy winner”.

During his appearance on This Morning, Mark revealed that Michelle didn’t even tell him the night before, adding: “She didn’t even speak about it and we were together last night.”
