Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley says he's 'so upset' to lose co-star in tragic scenes

Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley has admitted to feeling “so upset” to losie his co-star Sally Dexter who will sadly pass away in upcoming scenes.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday (July 5), Jeff who is well known for playing the role of Cain Dingle, told presenter Lorraine Kelly that it will be a massive loss when Sally leaves the show.

Talking openly, he also told the host that he is “mesmerised” by actress Sally who plays his mother Faith Dingle who currently has terminal cancer.

Talking about the upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Lorraine said it will be very “emotional”.

Actor Jeff said he’s incredibly sad to be losing actress Sally

Jeff replied: “I’m so upset about loosing Sally Dexter though.

“There’s a few actors that have come to the show that when they come on set, you can’ take your eyes off them and what they do.

“We were doing something just last night and I was just mesmerised watching her, she’s so good and she’s such a joy to work with. Such a great human being and I’m so sad to be losing her.”

Seeing his heartfelt chat, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts with one person writing: “Loved Jeff’s interview.”

Lorraine agreed that it will be an emotional watch

Cain and Faith’s relationship in the show has been turbulent to say the least.

Despite knowing that her mother has cancer, Cain has continued to show no remorse and has been overtly cold in his approach towards her.

But Faith, who is rapidly deteriorating his desperate to mend their broken relationship before its too late.

With his sister Chas on his case, Cain will soon reveal the reason why he has become so frosty towards his mother due to abandonment issues he faced with her as a child.

Faith and Cain’s relationship hasn’t been great

During the latest episode, Emmerdale fans rushed to Twitter to share their opinions on Faith and Cain.

One person said: “I want to see how far Cain will go. I think it would be interesting if Faith was to collapse in front of Cain and see how he reacts before Chas/Boxy comes rushing in. Because Cain clearly cares at heart but his 1980’s F-Boy energy is not it.”

While another said: “The chance to be with your mum throughout her illness is precious. Cain is crazy. Hope he doesn’t regret it.”
