This Morning’s new face of gardening, the glamorous Daisy Payne, has opened up about how she is looking forwards to becoming like Ground Force legend, Charlie Dimmock – “just with very small boobs”.
Daisy told The Sun about how she doesn’t look like a traditional gardener, with her girly dresses and designer bags.
And like Charlie, the 25-year-old confessed that she doesn’t always wear a bra.

She said: “That was the thing in lockdown — we didn’t have to wear a bra and it was lovely. But now I have to go back into society and I am like: ‘Oh God, I am going to have to wear a bra now.’
Daisy commented on how Charlie Dimmock has inspired her to smash the stereotypes around gardening, considering herself to be “Charlie 2.0”.
She added: “Charlie is amazing and she is still doing so much brilliant stuff as well. I think gardening is getting more diverse. Charlie Dimmock 2.0 — I will take that.”
In particular, Daisy spoke about the perceptions that come with being a gardener in a traditionally male-dominated world, and that she wouldn’t be ditching her manicures and perfectly styled hair any time soon.
She said: “I think there is a perception that if you have long blonde hair and nice nails you can’t be a gardener — you are just a pretty girl. Challenging that stereotype is really important to me.”
The self-taught TV gardener added that she wanted to make gardening more accessible and inclusive generally.
She said: “I am not from gardening stock. I actually found it really hard to get into it at first because there was so much jargon and it felt quite inaccessible.

“But that felt like the opportunity to go: ‘Do you know what? People like me can get into gardening and this is how easy it is.”
She commented that while she got into gardening for the joy of it, she struggled with the jargon and Latin names of plants.
However, after working on her hobby throughout lockdown, This Morning producers got in touch with Daisy in 2021 after her Instagram and YouTube channels gained traction.
She said: “One minute you are pottering around in your garden and the next you are doing live telly on This Morning. It’s mad, isn’t it?”
