Love Island hit with 57 Ofcom complaints over Jacques' 'misogynistic behaviour'

Love Island has been hit with 57 new Ofcom complaints as fans slammed what they saw as misogynistic behaviour on the show.

Ofcom confirmed comments were mainly aimed at Jacques though there were other, more general comments made.

Many fans previously hit out at Jacques during his time at Casa Amor, where he pursued newbies Mollie and Cheyenne despite being coupled up with Paige.

He sparked a backlash when he told his male co-stars he was going to “sack Mollie off” before putting the moves on bombshell Cheyenne.

One fan on Twitter said: “Sack Mollie off” the language Jacques uses when talking about women is [sick emoji].”

Another said: “Go sack Mollie off and take Cheyenne for a kiss upstairs’ wow nice Jacques.”

Another claimed: “The way Jacques talks about and treats women knocks me sick.”

Jacques and Paige had just been starting to get back on track after the rugby players’ Casa Amor antics, where he got with both Mollie and Cheyenne.

Although he went back to Paige at the recoupling, Cheyanne Kerr exposed his wayward ways resulting in a furious Paige kicking him out of the bed.

The pair were patching things up when Adam walked into the villa and expressed an interest in the Welsh paramedic, much to the dismay of Jacques.

The rugby hunk kicked off as he told Paige: “Have you been f**king off? Who the f**k is he? Just another geezer who’s been on the show? He can f**k off then mate.”

But on Monday night, he decided to quit the villa following his row with the Geordie.
