Thunder In the Mountains singer Toyah Willcox will join punk icon Billy Idol on his Roadside UK Tour this Autumn.
Actress and singer Toyah will open for Billy Idol on his six-date tour, which takes in cities including Manchester, Cardiff, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds from October 13-25, 2022.
That’s not all, as Toyah Willcox and Billy Idol will also be joined by special guests Television, who will be performing their album debut Marquee Moon in full.

Speaking about joining the Roadside tour this Autumn, which will see Billy Idol return to the UK for his first concerts in the UK since 2018, Toyah Willcox said: “I am thrilled to be opening for Billy Idol on The Roadside Tour.
“Billy is an icon whose music has thrilled millions worldwide and continues to do so.
“Billy has created a style of rock that has gone on to inspire generation after generation. Rebel Yell, White Wedding and Mony Mony are up there with the all-time greats.”
She added: “I can’t wait to start the tour and I am excited to be included in the fabulous line up alongside Television who made one of the first albums I ever bought.”
Rock icon Billy Idol, who is known for his huge hits including Mony Mony, White Wedding and Rebel Yell, also expressed his excitement that Toyah will joining the tour, saying: “We’re looking forward to having Toyah join us in the UK.
“This is the final piece in what is going to be an epic show!”
Toyah Willcox rose to fame as an actress in films including Quadrophenia, before making her solo debut with chart-topping hits including It’s A Mystery and I Want To Be Free.

She was later awarded Best Female Singer at the 1982 BRIT Awards, with the singer releasing hit albums in the years since including 2021’s Posh Pop.
More recently, Toyah has also delighted fans with her series of song covers as part of her Sunday Lunch series on YouTube, which feature her musician husband Robert Fripp and has reached over 10 million views in the past few years.
