The famous Beach Hut that features on ITV2’s Love Island is the place that the Islanders head to when they want to vent about their day.
Much like Big Brother’s Diary Room, the Beach Hut acts as a confessional where the contestants can open up about their thoughts, feelings and what’s making them sad, mad, happy or angry.
This little nook is niftily equipped with a camera and voice box where the Islanders can chat until their heart’s content.

Some of the moments recorded in the Beach Hut, where the Islanders are venting away. are televised – which is how we, as viewers, tend to form an opinion on each of the contestants.
But when the likes of Gemma Owen, Paige Thorne and Luca Bish are all having a rant, cry or laugh – they’re actually having a chat with a member of the production team.
Beach Hut producer Mo has now spoken to The Sun, where he lifted the lid on what actually happens inside – and it might not be what you think.
He told the publication: “I’m not actually in the villa with them,” which may come as a surprise to many.
Mo went on to explain that he’s in the gallery and has his own voice box so he can chat to them if needed.
The Islanders will chat to the camera while Mo asked them all generic questions like “how are you today?”
With the Islanders only hearing Mo, he revealed to the paper that they have “never” actually seen him.
The Beach Hut acts as a safe space, and Mo claims his job is to make sure they all feel comfortable and like they can vent if they need to.
Love Island airs weekdays and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub
