Love Island fans were jumping to Ekin-Su’s defence when the second instalment of the Mad Movies Movie Night aired on Sunday night.
Sunday, July 17 saw the Islanders pick the clip titled “The Italian Stallion Job” – which saw past videos of Davide throughout the programme and their time in the villa.

In one of the clips he said he needed to rid himself of a “heavy weight” – and when Turkish model Ekin-Su heard his comment, she was quick to accuse him of calling her “fat”.

But it seems Davide was actually referring to how he needed to get her out of his head – because after all, the couple have had their fair share of ups and downs.
One fan took to Twitter to note: “Ekin-Su took the expression heavy weight literally.”
While another added: “it’s so heartbreaking that ekin-su took the heavy weight comment as a hit on her appearance.”

A third then penned: “From other clips it seems that Ekin-Su has some body image issues, hence why she’s always in the gym.
“Her thinking that Davide was trashing her weight would’ve been really hurtful beyond at tv show. I hope it’s cleared up.”
And a fourth said: “The way Ekin-Su reacted to that “heavyweight” comment is worrying and saddening, hope it won’t make her self-conscious about her weight.”

This comes after Davide saw a clip of Ekin-Su in bed with George Tasker while at the second villa during Casa Amor week.
After the screening, Davide and Ekin-Su went for a chat in private when he asked her: “Anything else I need to know?”
Ekin-Su then replied: “No nothing happened” to which he replies: “Nothing happened, it didn’t seem so from the film?
“Nothing happened between us. Firstly, from day one, this boy George fancied me from the minute I got there, I kept saying we’re friends, my heart and my head is here with you.”
